Government has acquired new Trains for the Country’s Railway Transportation System. The initial batch of 12 contemporary diesel powered Trains is intended for operation on both regional and long-distance lines of Ghana Railways.It is to be delivered from Poland by the middle of February 2024.Speaking to the media (Ahomka fm and Ocean 1 tv), the Government Spokesperson on Economy, Manasseh Atta Boahen, the heavy traffic situation in major parts of the country, especially Accra, reduces productivity.”The pressure on our roads is disturbing and so the existence of the trains will help reduce travel time and enhance productivity”, he reiterated.
