The National president of Ghana Drunkards Association Mr. Moses Dry Bone has expressed concerns ahead of the upcoming general elections and their upcoming National Campaign tour with the theme ‘Don’t Drink and Vote’ campaign in an interview with Addai Mununkum Jnr on Ahomka FM.
He emphasized that the campaign aims to prevent electoral chaos and ensure a peaceful voting process. He cited previous elections where nearly half of the ballot papers were spoiled due to intoxicated voters, leading to distractions and disruptions. By encouraging responsible drinking habits, the campaign seeks to minimize electoral irregularities and promote civic responsibility. The ‘Don’t Drink and Vote’ initiative is expected to spark interest among Ghanaian citizens, many of whom acknowledge the importance of abstinence during elections. This campaign comes at a crucial time, as Ghana prepares for its next elections. Not only will this campaign bring about peaceful elections, but it will also help voters make informed choices. Therefore, Ghanaians should support it by sharing this vital message.
